Lid with 4 pouring functions
The lid can be placed on the Function 4 pans in 4 different ways. Boiling water can be released through the large or small holes, while the pasta or rice remains in the pan. The fully open position is ideal when you want to drain the water while cooking potatoes, for example. The fully closed position is ideal if you cook without much water in the pan, which gives you more steam. The edge is made of heat-resistant silicone and always sits firmly on the pan.

Hollow handles
Another important feature is the hollow handles that do not get hot during cooking. Please note: if you cook on gas, the heat of the flame along the pan can still make the handles hot. This of course does not happen with electric and induction, so the handles remain pleasantly moderate.

Size indication
The Function 4 pans also have a size indication so that you can easily see how many liters of water are in the pan and it is useful for reducing liquids if you want to make stock and sauces, for example.

TransTherm® universal bottom
In addition, the heat is quickly and evenly distributed over the entire pan thanks to the TransTherm® universal base. The heat is also stored for a longer period of time, allowing the stove to be turned down. The pans are suitable for all heat sources, including induction.

Robust
And finally, the pans are extremely robust, dimensionally stable, resistant to acids and dishwasher and oven safe thanks to the high-quality Cromargan® stainless steel. Cromargan® is WMF's trademark for high-quality steel!

Please note

• The handles do not get hot, but they can get warm. For example, when cooking on gas, the heat of the flame along the pan can still warm the handles. On electric, induction they remain pleasantly moderate.

• The silicone edge under the lid can absorb the smell of the food because it is an open material. Once you have cleaned the pan after cooking, place the lid on the pan with the red edge facing up. You could also place the lid in the oven for 15 minutes at 60 - 80 degrees. The silicone material will then open again and the smell can escape.
